When C19 began, I had already designed and planned an Art Zone for my kids' playroom. They had been using my dining room for their arts & craft projects, but I was tired of sharing that space with them. So, no better time to start a project than when you are already trapped in the house.
We stripped wallpaper, washed the walls and painted - ceiling, walls and trim. What a transformation!
I would normally go through all current decor and frames, donate what we no longer needed and shop for a few new pieces. But the stay-at-home order prevented my normal shopping trip from happening. So, I dug through my stash and planned a few DIYs to complete my vision.

I wanted a gallery wall for the kiddos to display their beautiful creations and it needed a sign! I had this blank wood board that I picked up from Hobby Lobby forever-ago.
It was the perfect backdrop!

I ordered wood letters online, painted them black and started laying out how the sign would look.

The 'look what we made...' was printed out on regular paper. I cut it out to fit it into the frame. Using a pencil, I colored the back of the lettering in so that I could transfer a pencil outline onto the front to then color in with a Sharpie paint pen.
The little wooden butterflies came from my stash, they were necklace charms.
A little hot glue and all done!
